News and Press

We needed some DVD packages that were on their way to Ritway turned around and shipped to three different facilities very quickly. From our previous experiences working with Ritway, we knew we could depend on them to take care of all of the details necessary to get our shipment delivered promptly and accurately. Ritway definitely came through for us…they are wonderful!

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

The warehouse was serenaded on Thursday while assembling music boxes for Sangari. The melodic chaos created quite the spectacle in receiving and probably left a few of our folks whistling the tune today!

Remember When?

With dozens of brands and hundreds of flavors, energy drinks seem to be taking over our convenience stores. One may remember the first energy drink that was brought to you by none other than Coca-Cola. Surge was originally introduced in Norway and Sweden under the name "Urge" in 1996 but quickly made its way to the states. Surge was widely tested in the young target markets with soda machines that were placed in schools and malls offering the beverage for an unbelievable price of $0.25. The kids loved the drink but parents did not and after a hefty law suit, production of the drink ceased by 2002. However after a Facebook campaign, Urge was re-introduced overseas in 2008. Today, Vault is the American alternative to Surge but as Brent said, "it just isn’t the same".

Summer Journey 2011 Week 3 orders shipped this week, with one truck going to Kansas City, MO and three trucks headed to St. Louis, MO. This is the final week of shipping the Summer Journey orders. Edison Physical Inventory is scheduled to begin the week of June 20th.

This year ran smoothly all the way from Receiving to Freight due to good planning and attention to details. The last step on Ritway’s part in the Journey was shipping out the kits, which spotlighted many, many individuals including: DeDe and Raffell pulling the wave picks and orders, QA’s Charlene and Charlotte, Ro and Linda Berry checking the orders, with John and Ellen shipping. John and Linda Haney were steadfast and kept everyone organized. Thanks to everyone else who stepped in and filled the spots vacated by the Summer Journey 2011 team.

Ritway is receiving items for the Sangari summer kitting project.  Sangari began using the Casey Drive location this week for re-packing kit components.
